Michael Shapiro

Michael Shapiro is the author of six nonfiction books, most recently “The Last Good Season,” and “Bottom of the Ninth.” His work has appeared in such publications as The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, Esquire and Sports Illustrated. He is a professor of journalism at Columbia University and founder of The Big Roundtable, a digital publishing platform whose aim is to connect writers and readers of ambitious narrative nonfiction.
