Sophie Thorpe is a London-based wine writer. By day, she works as Group Campaigns & Editorial Manager at the merchant FINE+RARE, looking after – among other things – their Editorial section. She previously spent nearly seven years doing similar work at Berry Bros. & Rudd. Alongside her 9-to-5, she does some freelance writing and has been published in Decanter, Club Oenologique, and two books by Académie du Vin Library (On Burgundy and On Tuscany). She was recently shortlisted for the 2024 67 Pall Mall Award for Best Global Wine Communicator in Short-Form Writing.
