Aidy Smith is an award-winning broadcaster, journalist, content creator and speaker. His core pillars include drink, food, travel, lifestyle, LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity topics.
In 2018 he created the world’s highest rated drinks-travel series, The Three Drinkers. With 3 seasons airing on Amazon Prime in 100 territories and 10+ languages around the world, the show has picked up numerous awards and is also available on a multitude of global airlines such as British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Lufthansa, Iberia and Qantas.
Aidy has written various drinks columns for publications like The Independent and Evening Standard. He is also heard on a variety of radio stations such as Times Radio, Virgin Pride and BBC Radio London where he has a permanent food/drink segment called ‘Thirsty Thursdays’.
As the only TV presenter in the UK and one of 5 in the USA with Tourette Syndrome (and also having ADHD), Aidy is heavily involved in the neurodivergence awareness space. He is a patron for the UK’s largest neurodiversity charity, the ADHD & Neurodiversity Charity, and is the Global Ambassador for the world’s largest Tourette Charity, The Tourette Association. Aidy was also nominated as ‘Celebrity of the Year’ for the National Diversity Awards of 2024.
In 2024 he was also named #5 in the ‘Top 100 Most Influential People in the Drinks Industry’ by Drinks Retailing based on his continued dedication to creating a welcoming space for all. During the same year he also launched DRINKLUSIVE, the world’s first and only mentorship programme to support aspiring drinks writers and content creators from LGBTQIA+, disability and neurodivergent and underrepresented ethnicity communities.
Aidy is best known for his unique and irreverent drinks discovery content on social media. Mixing personality with a thirst to learn more about what’s inside your glass. His approachable yet cheeky content has allowed him to become one of the most loved drinks social accounts in the digital space.
